Did a fast search and can't find an answer. . . I have two co-workers who travel as much as I do and would like to get a Hertz Gold Card.

Are they any codes out there I can use?

Thanks

If you can sign them up with an address outside of the US/Canada, then they can just sign up for free. Once the account is opened, then move it to the US ( or leave it there to be able to get PC status with only 30 stays rather than 40 )

Ever rent a Prestige Collection vehicle? An annual membership in Gold is included when you do.

Honestly, I've been a Gold for years and never been charged the $50 fee. I do rent Prestige a good deal nowadays, but even when I only rented Premium, they never dinged me.

Nah signing up outside Canada won't work - you have to put your license in.

I got my Gold membership about 7 years ago from my Airline membership. . .

I am a AAA member (mid-atlantic region) and I got gold for half price. Not free, but I did it since for the half dozen times I rent a year, $25 is better than $50.

"Hertz #1 Club Gold
Enjoy the privileges of Hertz #1 Club Gold and as a AAA member, save 50% when enrolling through aaa.com."

Maybe this is also available for CAA members.
Registration has to be done online. If a CAA member, go to your region's website and look for the offer.

you have to put ur licence details in. It doesn't matter. My account is in Australia but my licence is UK.

On the signup for Australia it has fields for driving licence which include Number, Issuing state plus Country. There is no validation of the licence number.

And once you have #1 Club Gold, you will never have to pay for it again in the future. I had it comped in about 1994 and have never had to pay a thing.

Of course, I actually USE it frequently. If I went entirely dormant and stopped renting Hertz cars altogether, maybe they'd cut me off or send me a letter telling me to pay $50.

I find it odd that Hertz actually attempts to CHARGE you for using #1 Club Gold. Fortunately, there are a lot of ways to get it for free - I'm just glad that all car/hotel/air companies don't make you play games to get into their frequent-traveler program.

I would agree with this comment for some other rental agencies, but not Hertz. Yes, it's great to get #1 Gold comped, but it's one of the few that's worth something. I've had problems with many other agencies (e.g., Preferred desk not staffed), but not with Hertz.
