Lowest rate I've ever personally seen was around 13.97 on a AAA weekend rate.

The base rate is already very low, I believe around $15-16/day. Throw in 5% off plus $15 off ($7.50/day), and the rate tumbled. AAA comes out a tad higher.

Pretty good but LAX on weekends, especially if you consider coupons is real easy to get good deals on. I rented a full size car from National for two days for $21, including all taxes and fees in November 2003. Sweet!
