Hertz - Great Customer Service - Handling a Problem

I had a guarenteed reservation using Hertz #1 points (Excursion, had 8 people + luggage for a b-day celebration). Go to the airport in Vegas and they did not have my car...they ended up putting us into an Expedition...enough room for all of us but not our luggage.

Long story short they gave me $300 ($100/day for not having our guarenteed car) in certs for future rentals, waived the Taxes so the rental was totally free and credited me my 4000 Hertz points back.

It was a bit of a problem with the smaller vehicle having to make a couple trips...but their corp office was very friendly and I think they did more than enough to retain my business.

I'm a PC with 20-40 rental each year for the last 5 years.

The folks at my local office in YYZ (downtown) are also outstanding at handling mix-ups. I have had free Jaguar rentals, credit vouchers etc., on a regular basis all because someone at the airport made a mistake and sent the wrong car or someone didn't return a car on time and they could not honour what I had reserved.

Send a note into Hertz CS dep't - it makes its way back to the rep, and they really do appreciate it.
