Hertz - Manhattan Gold and Islander Gold ProgramsView Full Version : Manhattan Gold and Islander Gold Programs opwv Dec 25, 03, 5:27 am Can someone provide some info on these two programs please? Are they really above President's Circle? Thanks! pokes Dec 25, 03, 6:39 pm They are not above PC. Only difference between normal Gold and this is if you have a Manhattan address on your profile you are automatically enrolled. Only really benifit is after 6 paid qualifying Manhattan rentals it qualify's you for a coupon for one free day in Manhattan. If you are a Hawaiin resident then you automatically are in Islander Gold. Same here only difference between normal gold and this is after 4 Hawaii rentals as long as you dont use a coupon will earn you 1 free day coupon. Do you know where there might be more info on this promotion? pokes Dec 26, 03, 6:21 pm For complete details I would just call up Hertz and have them read to you the complete list of privelages for either one you interested in. If they are not firmiliar or seem to not know where the information is they can ask their CSS to tell them how to find the information. monitor Dec 28, 03, 10:52 pm I am a Manhattan resident but Hertz does not have my NY address because my office is in NJ and all of my mail goes there. I have never considered those promos because I never rent a car in Manhattan, either taking a cab or my own car. Additionally, I venture to guess that the coupon would only be honored sporadically, if at all, at the Manhattan locations. As a test, I would like to get a first-hand report from somebody who actually was able to cash in any coupon whatever at any Manhattan location at any time. jAAck Jan 7, 04, 12:55 pm I use the free day coupons frequently and haven't had a bit of trouble with them, unlike the Avis ones I used to get from AA that had capacity controls. I just make the reservation on the website, turn in the coupon at the rental and there's my free day. It's a great deal, considering the cost of NYC rentals. |
