Hertz - 1 short of PC, is it close enough?

I'm at 39 rentals YTD with no more planned. Should I rent one more just to reach PC, or am I close enough that I could just ask for it nicely?

You better do the one more rental. In my opinion, they will not give it to you. I would spend the $25 for a cheap fare for a day (or even an hour) to get PC. You will love every minute of it.

I wouldn't chance it. Rent the 40th car.

Rent one!!! I've read many other threads here over the past year or so. And the advice is sound. Unless your 39 rentals count for more than $7k in revenue to Hertz, they're very unlikely to bump you up.
I have 36 YTD ... and had planned to rent each of the next two weekends. So I decided to split each weekend rental in two ... two days each of $19.95 for a Taurus ... and that will get me over the threshold. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Thanks for the advice. I booked a weekend rental at DFW for $15.99 but with taxes it will be over $25! It's a small price to pay and I look forward to enjoy PC.

If you get the same rental at the Marriott just north of the airport you will probably avoid at least $5 and maybe $10 in airport fees. Just a thought and probably at least as easy to accomplish.
