Does anybody have any valid promo code ?

Specifically, the situation is Ontario driver's license renting in SFO. Perhaps any Canadian Auto Association CDP if anybody has any......

I guess one can use AAA CDP, but dunno if they actually check for membership.

****... Answering my own question. Apparently the 3-digit "club code" printed on the CAA/AAA membership card is the number you should use as CDP. Used this CDP to quote for the car and the rate for full size went from USD 37 down to USD 23(weekend)!

Go to the Hertz site, under special offers, and there's a coupon for Double Miles and $20 off fullsize weekend rentals.

FYI, and FWIW, with a bazillion Hertz rentals under my belt, I've never been asked to "prove" a CDP. Use whatever one works for you.

In Europe you'll be asked to prove rental qualifications, the U.K. staff get nasty about it. In the USA if you have to visit a pick up counter, a low rate gets the staff asking suspicious questions.

Wow, this is the first decent discount I've been able to find for a trip in November. What is "UK LINK PROGRAMME-INCLUS" anyway?

It is a general CDP number for buisness programs in the UK, anyone can use it, with a license from any country,

Actually I was wrong. I stupidly repriced the rental for a different class (the non-convertable mustang instread of the convertable). No wonder it was cheaper. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif

C'est la vie.

I've been using AAdvantage promotion (only needs membership number) AAdvantage discount number CDP 217692 and PC #938630.

Seems to give 28% discount in US (worked in both SAN and PHX), an upgrade (supposed to be double but ..) and triple AA miles. Yet to see the miles though ;-(

Are there any that work in Europe (Rome in particular)?

I am a US AAA Midatlantic Member. Would anyone have a CAA CDP number--for the Ontario club? (It is, of course, the club code)
