About 2 weeks ago I switched to Hertz from Avis due to continued poor service from Avis. When I called Hertz they said I was being comped to a tier level (President's Club or something like that), so I started booking with them. Today I found out they downgraded me to a Hertz #1 Gold, saying oops we don't comp levels based on status with another car rental company.
I have rented 3 times in the past 10 days, and have 3 more rentals booked this week alone. Obviously they do not want my business or they would not have done this to me. Pathetic, truly pathetic... now to find a car rental company that will actually value me (a 50 rental a year customer). Grrr!
