I rented an Explorer at ORD last weekend and used 4000 #1 Awards pts. on an SUV free/three days. When I returned the vehicle, I gave the return agent on the bus the certificate which he then asked me to sign. He couldn't give me a receipt because I had left the rental agreement in the vehicle. He asked me to point out the vehicle , which I did, and he assured me everything would be taken care off.
I get a express return receipt from Hertz today and they hit my Visa for the full amount of the rental ($287.01)!!! To add insult to injury, they charged me $15.89 for gas even though I stopped and filled the SUV minuets from the Hertz office.
Anyone had a similar experience and how was it resolved?
