Hertz - How to get Hertz #1 Awards

I was recently surfing around on the Hertz site, and saw this when reviewing my profile.

"The employer or association that you have identified in your Hertz #1 Club or #1 Club Gold profile has instructed Hertz not to send its employees or members, including you, any marketing offers or materials. So long as this instruction remains in effect, Hertz cannot provide you Hertz #1 Awards points or free rental days that it might otherwise provide you."

* Does this mean that I don't qualify for Hertz awards?
* Is there anyway for me to change this?

Some large employers negotiate Hertz rates that do not allow employees to accumulate miles or points.

You could try changing your default CDP code (such as to your AAA club code) and see if that helps. You likely can't earn anything when you book with the regular CDP code you have, but you might earn on rentals booked with other CDP codes. You'd probably need to change your main CDP number in order to accumulate points on those rentals, i.e. not just change it for the specific rental.
