Having been made 5* recently, I read the package info that said that I would get a one level upgrade if a car was available.
I make my booking to the priority line, fullsize in Cairns for 6 days @ AU$55 per day, and yes, my 5* status has been noticed.
I arrive in CNS to find an older model Falcon waiting for me....no upgrade, not even to the new model (Barra) which is far better. I wander back inside and ask if I can have a newer model....no problemo, guy throws me the keys to brand new BARRA Falcon.
Question 1. Why an older model when new one was available?
Question 2. Upgrade????? Three Fairlanes sitting around in the lot for spare cars.
Question 3. Why don't I at least keep my sense of humour about this and realise I am being a w*nker about what car I get from Hertz, when my company is paying for it.
I ended up going into the city office and for an extra $35 a day got me a shiny new Z3 to play in - perfect for that little trip up to Port Douglas for the day.
Jeez I love my job - I get paid to drive to Port in a Z3 and take someone to lunch.
NO MORE WHINGING FROM ME !
(Unless of course I do not get an upgrade next time I am here)
