I have made a reservation for 3 days at www.hertz.com (http://www.hertz.com) website for sometime in July using PC and CDP code promotions. I also have a $100 e-rewards HERTZ voucher and thought of using it in conjuction with my reservation. I was reading the fineprint on $100 voucher and it says that i cannot use any promotion or cdp alongwith voucher ...does Hertz implement this seriously or what?

I don't have one of those vouchers, but the way these usually work with Hertz is that they are a PC number (and probably a CDP number, too). The discount arrives by using the PC number on the voucher, and surrendering it. So if you use another PC number, no discount.

With Hertz #1 Awards vouchers, last time I used them, you could use any CDP but had to use the PC code for the voucher.

I have used vouchers with them and could not use any other discount but the voucher itself gave 5 or 10% off the regular rate. I thought it was a deal.

Do you get miles if you use these vouchers?

I got $25 e-reward voucher and plan to use it next weekend.

I'm looking over the voucher now, and it says that "no other CDP# may be used in combination with this voucher"

however, that doesn't mean it excludes other PC#, which means you'll still be able to get your online booking upgrade.

just used my $25 voucher from erewards for a 3 day rental at BNA Hertz. I had no problem using the voucher for the rental, which had a 5% discount and the standard upgrade offer from booking online.

I used an ERewards $50 certificate recently for a rental from my home town of Jackson Hole, WY. Even as the high tourist season was getting underway, I received a local's rate of $35 for a Subaru Outback. (Shhhhh, don't tell anyone - that's a great deal in these parts!)

With tax, I was around $40 and I took the "return it empty" plan to burn the rest of the voucher. At the end of the day I paid $13 for my 24 hour rental, which I returned with the gas light on "fill me please".

There were no problems using the voucher with the great rate.

FYI - sometimes you can get a great rate in some locales by asking if they offer a local's discount.

Just successfully use a $25 e-rewards voucher on a 2 day weekend rental. I got a compact for $25.99/day and the total charge after tax/with voucher is $33.

I reserved online with e-reward CDP and asked the agent at the counter to apply the voucher without a problem.

I successfully used mine on july 3 from NYC - BWI. Total was $100.41 and I had to pay only 41 cents after the $100 erewards coupon....

I'm thinking of ordering one of these vouchers from eRewards as I just crossed the 50$ threshold.

However, would like to check in advance that the rates are in line with my other options (so that I really save some money) before ordering the voucher. Can someone please post the CDP-code on the voucher so I can check rates BEFORE ordering it from eRewards???

Thank you!

Greetings - Dirk

I surrendered my voucher at NYC Hertz office. I dont remember the CDP..I think it was something like 155001. I am not sure..the rates are a little higher as u wont get ur 10% off on memberships like AAA etc. I used it for one way rental from NYC - BWI which was anyway costly so the voucher was great !!

CDP# for erewards vouchers is 1224136. Not much good compared to the AAA CDP plus PC unless it is a short rental.

Thank you for the information. With that information I did check the rates for my upcoming rental, and while it's not the best coupon of all, I get the following rates out of it:

eRewards: Base rate 189.99$ a week, total with tax 253$
AAA: Base 170.99$ a week, total with tax 231$
vacation.com (CDP 1170024 with double upgrade coupon PC#928804): 156.39$, total 214$

This is for a full-size car in PHX, so the eRewards coupon saves me a meager 11$. Worth ist? No, not this time. But I guess I take it when I rent from SFO next year over a weekend, which then will be more or less free...

Thank you all for the effort!

Dirk, did you use the AAA PC 930134 ($20 off weekly rental)? This, with CDP #0004 (southern CA) usually gets me the best rate except for the US/UA half off weekend day coupons. Those usually net down to $11 or so a day.

I used the 15$ off coupon from the Hertz' website. Do you need a physical coupon for that discount???

No, the AAA PC's are great. Just plug in the number. You can use it again and again. There's another one for a three-day weekend rental you can also reuse. They expire periodically but there is always a new one in the AAA magazine.

I have a simple question regarding the Hertz E-rewards voucher, can anybody please post your experience here? Thanks a lot!

My question is:

How long does it take to receive the Hertz E-rewards voucher after I redeemed it?

I redeemed Sept. 5 for a $50 voucher and recieved it Sept. 28. So it took me about 3-1/2 weeks.
