Hertz - Local edition drop-off and pick-up

I noticed on the Hertz web site that Hertz is now offering pick-up and drop-off service from its Local Edition offices. I guess they're trying to compete with Enterprise!

Has anyone had any experience with this new service?

They've been doing this for years. Works fine.

Do you set this up when you reserve (especially online) or do you call the location directly? If I need to call the local, do I call 1 hour ahead like the Hertz page says, or can I schedule 1-2 days in advance?

In my experience, call the location 2 hours before you want to be picked up, and then again about half an hour before the designated pick up time. Reservations may claim that they can take the info, but I'd seriously doubt that anyone at the local would drive out to pick you up because of something in your record.
