I have used Alamo extensively in the past for one-way rentals inside the state of Florida, primarily because they did not charge a one-way drop-off fee for rentals within the state of Florida. Yesterday I was making a reservation from JAX - PNS and noticed a $45 drop off charge. I then tried some other intra-Florida city pairs and noticed drop-off fees as high as $100. I called Alamo to determine if this is a new across-the-board policy, but was told something to the effect that it related to "supply and demand" at specific stations. I find this difficult to believe, since I don'r remember seeing any drop-off charges for intra-Florida travel in recent years, and the fact that Alamo was just sold within the past couple of weeks makes me suspicious that the drop-off charge is a new corporate policy. Does anyone have any feedback or info on this issue?

It's always good to make sure about the drop off fees before you rent. Policy could change at anytime.
