Starwood Preferred Guest - conflicting statements on reservation

Hopefully William can help on this one - I have a reservation for the Thanksgiving holiday at the Sheraton Grand in Sacramento. On my reservation printout there are two conflicting statements - under "rate plan description" it says..."21 day advance purchase rate requires non refundable deposit for entire length of stay" - under "cancellation policy" it states.."cancel by 6pm hotel time 1 day prior to avoid 1 night penalty"....this is very confusing - can I make a change or cancel part/all of this reservation without penalty??? Thanks for your help.

This happens because the hotel has not over-ridden its standard cancellation policy in favor of the real one. No, you will not be able to cancel or modify without penalty; however, if you send me the confirmation number, I can have the web gurus address this with the property in question.
