Greetings All,
Will be back at the sensational Westin Diplomat and Resort in Hollywood, Florida in the coming weeks.
Was wondering if anyone who has dined there could share their reviews here.
I am taking some very important guests with me and would prefer it to be as good or better then other upscale steakhouses in the Miami area.
Thank you in advance for any potential feedback.

I've stayed at the Diplomat 4 times and eaten at the steak house once (couldn't get in 2 of other times.
Its fairly small, dark and not really fancy but nice. Besides travel, food is one of my main hobbies. I love to eat at great restaurants around the world.
I took a group here for dinner and I must say, it is one of the best reastaurants I have been to in Florida and I'd say the top 3 steak houses I've been to in the country.
The service was top notch. Two waiters and two bus boys assigned to our group of 8 people. Waters never went empty etc. The chef even came out to explain where he gets the lamb from. I'm a steak eater but they talked me into the rack of lamb. It was the best I have ever had. Also the best martini I've had in a long time.
Very friendly, yet professional staff.
Order the Charels Krug Cab and the Wente Chard and you will be set.
Highly recommend this restaurant...make sure you make a reservation since they will be full.

Thats a great review and quite a plug !
What steakhouses would you feel it equals or beats for comparison ?
Had dinner in the night club and it was certainly satisfactory . But not quite in the league you describe.
Your post is greatly appreciated.
Looks like it will be a good choice no matter what.
Incidentally the Platinum conceirge desk has worked wonders in the past when trying to get into other Starwood Hotel restaurants Especially when they have tight or no reservations.
Be sure and give this a try next time.
Best of all of course book in advance
Cheers

It is like "Ringside" in Portland Oregon, "L.G.'s" in Palm Springs or "Bern's" in Tampa (though not as busy as Bern's)....much better than a Shula's or Morton's.
I found the night club restaurant to be just ok with average service.
Good luck.

777,
I agree with the BigShaker! I was there in May and dinned at the steakhouse. My steak was excellent as was the service. The chef also came to our table (he has a book with his receipe's at the gift shop) to see how our meal was. One of my companion's had the lamb and raved about it!
You will enjoy your dinning experience!
P.S. The executive club is one of the best-it's a must!
P.S. If you are plat have the plat desk make your reservation now or call yourself.

Greetings all ,
Thank you for all your above thumbs up on Hollywood Prime.
I have booked a reservation through the Platinum Conceirge for a party of 4 thanks to all your suggestions. Looking forward to it now.
My guests arrived today from Holland.
For one of them this is their first trip to the US. Took them all to dinner tonight at Legal Seafoods.
They were all impressed with the quality of the food and service.
The management went out of there way to wow us and they did !
Steamed lobsters,New England Clam Chowder grilled scallops ,grilled shrimp,tuna.......And a lot of side dishes
We all rolled back to the hotel.
New York City this weekend is up next with a visit to the W Times Square.

I notice from the website that this resturant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. I will be in the area in a few weeks and was wondering if I could get a good brunch at any of the other resturants at this property or nearby a Sunday morning. Thanks
