Starwood Preferred Guest - SPG: Suite available. Property: No Suite available

I'm staying at the Sheraton Studio City tomorrow. I called SPG to see if I was upgraded already. They told me no but that there is are Studio Suites available on the 21st Floor.

I called the property and spoke to the reservations manager. She said there are no Studios available. I didn't tell here I called SPG and was told different. Who is telling the truth?

I'm calling SPG in Austin, I'm getting kinda tired of this stuff.

By the way, does anyone know if this is a true SGP property or just another company flying the SPG flag?

unfortunately, you need to play this game when you check-in. the property is under no responsibility to upgrade you prior to your arrival. the benefit is "best room available at check-in."

Checked the room availability on my own - no suites available. Not sure why anyone would tell you otherwise.
