Starwood Preferred Guest - Any great deals in NYC on 8/8/03?

My wife and I are planning a Friday evening in Manhattan on 8/8/2003. Would appreciate any great deals on Starwood properties that anyone could share for PAID stays or for Cash+Points, etc. Would even take special corporate discount Starwood codes :-)

Even 50% off coupons yielded rates higher than I could book on SPG.com.

If all else fails, then it will have to be 10,000 poinst for the night :-(

Cash and Points - Westin Times Square is $60 + 4,000 points.

If you have to use 10,000 points, I might suggest the Sheraton Russell.

I got the Westin Essex House for $129 just recently, loook on Hotwire, Hotwire shows the Essex house as 4.5 stars with aa Restauraunt, Esercise, Printer Symbol, and SPA.
But you dont' gain SPG points.
It listed itself as in Midtown Central, and the address of it is 160 Central Park South
