Like many posters on this Board, I was waiting for my 6000 bonus points for first-use of the Starwood Amex that I registered for using the link on the SPG site earlier this year. On my recent Amex Statement, I received 5000 bonus SPG points for "continued membership" in the SPG/Amex program. Does anybody know what these points are for? Are these the first-use bonus points, or something else? Has anyone else received 5000 instead of 6000 points?
Finally, I have seen links in other threads to the expired 10k SPG/Amex bonus. Does anyone have a link to the expired 6K first-use bonus, or have a bonus code, in case I need to call Amex to get the missing points?
