Just was looking at rates at the 4 pts Santa Monica and the rate said double points promotion - Gds promotion, do not book through Crs. Any insight?

GDS = Global Distribution System
CRS = Central Reservation System
I have no idea why that would be seen by the customer. Even less of an idea of why it would matter.
