I know one is on Venice and one a 10 min boat ride but which is nicer... Thanks

If you haven't already done so, before you trade for an SPG50 you should contact Starwood Reservations to see if either of the hotels has rooms they are accepting them on, and book it.

Unlike most other Starwood awards, SPG50s are Capacity Controlled and rooms are not always available on these even if the web site shows lots of Rack Rate rooms available.

They get you 50% off certain Rack Rate rooms only. They don't apply to any other lower rates.
