Starwood Preferred Guest - How do you check AMEX Starwood Points

Hello,

I've searched through the site but haven't found any info on how you can check the balance of your Starwood Points. I just received an AMEX Starwood card. I've registered the card online with AMEX so I can check balances. When I login I automatically see my MR rewards from my green card but there is no section for Starwood Point Balances. How do you check point balances on your card? Thanks for the help!

Thanks,
Lawrence

Hey Starwood Lurker,

Thanks for the info! I signed up for an account shortly after receiving the card but during sign up they did not ask for any credit card information. How do they link my AMEX CC info with my account at SPG?

Thanks,
Lawrence

If you were not a Starwood member when applying for your credit card, then AmEx signed you up. You will receive your new SPG card in the mail within the next few weeks. In the meantime, call AmEx and ask for that number, then you'll be able to see your balance on the SPG site. Also, your AmEx online account access provides you with the information as to how many points you earn each billing cycle.

And welcome to Flyertalk!

I thought I read somewhere that if you opened a SPG AMEX card account and didn't have a SPG account that they would open one up for you to deposit the points. It might have also been on the application too.

Just found this on the online application.
