fyi,
As a JetBlue customer, you are used to enjoying luxurious surroundings and great rates in the air. Now you can find the same special treatment on the ground at W Hotels of New York. Treat yourself to a weekend in the Big Apple through March 31, 2003 and you'll get more than you bargained for – a spectacular room, continental breakfast for two, and a W CD for one low rate.

these rates aren't any better than what can be booked through the W Hotel web site directly, right?
isn't the W New York going for $179 on the W web site?

If I'm not mistaken, the $199 Jet Blue rate at the W New York includes Continental breakfast for two and a CD. The $179 rate on our web site is for the room only.

This promotion says it's for a "Spectacular Room". At at least 3 of the W's listed(New York, Court and Tuscany), the JETBLU promotion for a room type listed as "Spectacular" is, on average, $50 higher then the advertised prices.
Example- the W New York Wonderful room in this promotion is $199. The Spectacular room is $249.
For those of you not familiar with the room naming schemes - the Spectacular is LARGER than the Wonderful. At the W New York, the difference is about 200 sq. feet vs. 350 sq. feet. Anyone who's been put in the "Wonderful" room at this hotel, in particular, knows it's like a closet. Some people's feet may even touch the wall at the foot of the bed.
Am I the only one who's miffed at this marketing bait and switch?
Since W Hotels brand their rooms with hip names like "Wonderful", "Mega", "Cozy" and "Spectacular", instead of "Deluxe", "Standard", etc., they should not be running a promotion where they say you get a "Spectacular" room for $xxx, only to get to the web site to find that the REAL Spectacular rooms are not that price, but in fact higher.
