you got to help me on this one , gang:

i will have a stopover at jfk soon
arriving late and leaving early the next morning , hence going downtown is not an option.
as many of us know from their own experience
(incl. myself) that the sheraton jfk sucks to no end for several reasons , what would you guys consider an accaptabe alternative ?

Boy, that's a tough one. There really aren't many alternatives as all hotels around JFK are questionable. I can't recall if Starwood has a hotel near LaGuardia, but that may be a better option, I'm not sure. The cab ride is about 15-minutes and the fare should be reasonable.

No Starwood at LGA.

Might as well accept the JFK property and get the points.

Do e mail me as to when you're arriving. If I have the time, maybe we could eat some good Brooklyn food. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

There is a Sheraton near LGA. I stayed there a few weeks ago. Interesting place...home base for China Airlines crews. Lot of Asian influences in the property. Overall, not a great hotel, but not too bad.

There is a Sheraton at LGA. It's in Flushing "Chinatown" and at the end of 7 subway. They have shuttle service to and from LGA. I like their "buffet breakfast" and many good restaruants nearby, though the room is a bit old.

LGA is still far away from JFK.
