I've got a bunch of miles on various airlines that I don't ever expect to use, so I was hoping to review the handbook or the rules or whatever and see if/how I can transfer miles from whichever programs into *wood points. Also looking at Hilton, but I have their handbook.

NOTHING transfers INTO starpoints. I have never seen a handbook (Been Plat going on 4th year), sorry for the bad news,

Marc

Well... hot diggity shiznit. I guess that makes my decision of what to do with my orphaned miles quite a bit easier. By the way, what about signing up for 20k worth of SPG credit card bonuses and transferring them for 25k miles? Is that a good way to rack up some extra miles?

Generally not. Airline miles are far easier to accumulate versus Starpoints. Given all the cutbacks in earning power, I have a gut feeling most people aren't transferring as freely as they used to be.

Starpoints are a lot more valuable than airline FF miles and Starpoints are harder to accumulate!

Take a look at diners club. If they do the BA promo again, you can bunch some stuff in BA.
