I know that on or about 1/1/03, the confirmation page was still showing people as getting the 1:2 ratio transfer. I'm not sure if this means that the full amount of points actually got transferred, though..... brj8826 Jan 10, 03, 5:17 pm Air NZ currently does not allow new members in the US, so you can't even join to transfer the points. In addition, Air NZ credits mileage in KMs (ie 1 starwood = 1 km, vs 1 mile on other programs)... so your starwood points won't go as far, additionally, awards on NZ are considerably more expensive. Example- JFK-SYD return award is 60,000 miles on UA mileage plus. JFK-SYD return award is 140,000 points on airnz airpoints. Go do the math and figure out which program is better to transfer your SPG points! landspeed Jan 10, 03, 5:34 pm <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Originally posted by zud_the_hut: for me. Except if you have any programs where you're close to a desired award level, you may want to send over some points, now. While QF and UA ratios changed recently, there was some advance notice. So keep an eye on any programs that you're particularly interested in! zud_the_hut Jan 11, 03, 12:21 pm Thanks Landspeed...that was the best advise for me. Which is something that I already knew but I wasn't over the fact that I lost a great opportunity. I have 70 AA miles and 60 DL miles. I also have other miles in other programs but I want to go to Okinawa Japan this year with 3 free tixs. 65k is enuff for AA and 60k is enuff for DL. I will have to play out the third one. ozstamps Jan 12, 03, 4:12 am <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Originally posted by Starwood Lurker: Unless you are looking for a major, irreversible disappointment, please do not do this expecting the old ratios to go through.
