Is there any sensible way to transfer HH points over? I have done a search and cannot find this exact answer.

I have done a search and cannot find this exact answer.</font> Sensible?--Most would (understandably) say no...but there does appear to be a way to move the points over: HH --> AA --> Diners Club Club Rewards points --> Starwood e.g. 10k HH --> 2k AA --> 2k DC CR --> 750 Starpoints NOTE: UA miles could be used for the DC CR transfer, but the conversion ratio of HH points to UA miles is 10:1.5 for the 10k threshold, versus 10:2 if converting to AA. Lastly, FWIW, the greatest HH points -to- miles conversion ratio possible appears to be the HH --> AA @ the 50k threshold (--> 12k AA miles). To compare relative value, let's examine what happens to 100k HH points (i.e. enough for an ALON or GLON award [in theory]): 100k HH --> 24k AA --> 24k DC CR --> 7200 Starpoints There is at least 1 way in which 7200 Starpoints have the potential to be of comparable or greater value than that of 100k HH points -- however, regardless, one could justifiably argue that it is much easier to charge one's way to 7200 Starpoints than it is to garner 100k HH points (by any means [w/ the exception of multiple HH conquest promos turning already planned stays into a easy 100k]). Edited to add the following addendum: HH --> AA exchange rate changes on Jan 1, 2003 -- to 10k:1.5k [This message has been edited by ILTE_Miles (edited 12-08-2002).] ILTE_Miles Dec 8, 02, 9:47 pm . Please tell us more!</font> Hi dhacker, One of the scenarios I was thinking of was re: 50% off awards (specifically if redeemed @ various non-U.S. properties), each of which could be used for 5 nights each. Again, I am not advocating that one actually proceed w/ such a redemption re: HH conversion. However, if your luck w/ HH points redemption attempts were anything like mine--w/ capacity controls having rendered a veto to said attempts--then the HH points could potentially be "worthless" unless converted to something else--or given to someone else (in the form of awards in their name). It is far easier to obtain 7000+ Starpoints (via credit card, in particular) than it is to obtain 100,000 HH points (again, as stated earlier, unless one is able to take advantage of a conquest promo or two, etc.).
