Starwood Preferred Guest - Platinum amenity question?

Does anyone know if you are able to get the 500 point choice for your platinum amenity with a priceline reservation? I did not find the answer on previous posts though I am sure it is there. Thanks.

I am under the understanding that issues with priceline reservations are mostly hit and miss. Sometimes you get SPG perks and credits and points, sometimes you dont. But I could be wrong.
