Starwood Preferred Guest - The Diplomat Country Club and Spa

The Diplomat Country Club (sister property of the Westin Diplomat) is an excellent property, I highly recommend it. I have one question, to which no one seems to know the answer. Is it possible to use starwood points for services at the spa? Perhaps the lurker is privy to this information?

One would think, since the hotel participates in Starwood Preferred Guest, that you could redeem 1,500 Starpoints for $20 worth of spa services in the form of an Instant Award, but ultimately, it depends upon the relationship of the spa to the hotel. If you can bill spa services to your hotel room, the answer should be "yes".
