Its either the Gritti Palace or the Four Points Rochester. I can't recall.

No need to upgrade - amenities are the best available and I am always treated as platinum even though some years I haven't made 25 stays or 40 nights!!!!!

Well now that everyone is interested, I think we should have two categories:

Carnal #1 being the best places to bring your date with you

Carnal #2 being the best properties to visit alone in hopes of finding a good friend

Now on Carnal #2...I can heartily recommend the Four Points LAX.

It's where a lot of (mostly) non U.S. airlines house their crews, lots of lonely displaced passengers from canceled flights, and one of the greatest little beer bars around with many locals as well!

Also a great place to brush up on your communication skills using mostly body language! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Too bad there's no Starwood property close to the MIA airport given the number of Latin American stewardesses that would be flying into MIA and laying over! Comments on the Hilton board would seem to indicate that there are several good HHonors properties in the vicinity of MIA that work well for that purpose!

Port Douglas comes to mind for a variety of reasons. Then there was a certain sweltering night at the Moana Surfrider [old wing with the ceiling fans, just like a Somerset Maugham novel!]. And the Luxury Collection in St. Sebastian after an evening of tapas and rioja in the old quarter...

It seems to me the real message of the Four Points package is that it makes a very economical threesome.

It's really quite a good deal if you know that you are going to have two extra, um,er, guest for the night. And you might be able to give them breakfast too. Who says that there are no gentlemen left in the world?
