Just make sure you choose the Four Points by Sheraton Washington D.C. Downtown, and NOT the Four Points by Sheraton Washington D.C. - Pentagon.

The downtown property is a very good value, IMO, definitely on the higher end of Four Points brand. Front desk folks have great attitude, lounge is nice as well. Location is not that great for a weekend stay, but metro is a short walk away.

The Pentagon Four Points is a dump, which used to be a Best Western, and still shares management and quite a few services (not to mention toiletries) with a Best Western next to it. Staff is less than competent.

The location of the Four Points near the Pentagon is not all that great anyway.

That's a huge understatement... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif There is nothing "great" or even remotely good about that Four Points - Pentagon (it's not even that close to Pentagon!)...

The only thing that's great is the great view of the traffic on 395.

Never did find the Lounge at this property when I stayed there last fall. Where is it? [Suppose I should have asked the front desk, but I didn't even know Four Points had them...]

Great rate for Washington Doc .. thanks for the tip. Wish it was there a few weeks ago - needed to pay $90 Friday for a Hilton downtown, and thought THAT was low. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

It's on the 5th floor (there are two club level floors in this property - 5th and 9th).

And yes, some Four Points have lounges.

The Sheraton in Crystal City had something like a $70/night internet pre-paid rate this winter. It may still be in effect. That Sheraton is OK.
