I have booked 2 free friday and saturday nights for this weekend using my 2 free Friday and 2 free Saturday nights stays. While they booked my reservations and I have confirmation numbers + e-mails, I am worried that I will get in trouble because these are concurent stays and my 2nd room is for friends who will be our guests for the weekend.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

It was my understanding that you could not use the free weekends at the same time and at the same location.

I think you will be at the mercy of the hotel staff checking you in as they may be not be aware of this rule and let you have the room but there is always the chance that they will.

What other option do you have anyway considering this is the last weekend? Roll the dice.

woudl they have to honor the confirmed reservations? Especially since I am a SPG Platinum member.

It would seem to me that it would be a very bad thing for them to reneg on a confirmed reservation becuase of a technicality...and turn a SPG Platinum member away?

What do you think?

I think you'll be ok if they run these like they do regular nights. I've personally earned credit for two nights at Marriott in different locations (me at one, wife at another) and have heard of people doing the same at *wood.

I don't know if this will work or not, but I really don't think you should have any ill feelings about them if they don't allow you to break the rules. That isn't really a technicality, it is one of the conditions of the award, and what you are hoping to do is put one over on either the hotel or Starwood.

I hear you about the "no hard feelings"

but, what should I do, I have the reservations for the 2 rooms...should I call them and ask them to verify that all is well...especially since this technicality exists with the promotion?

Maybe this way, I will know for sure instead of rolling the dice?

please advise...

The hotel needs to agree to this up front. Otherwise, you will be at risk for violating the Terms and Conditions of the promotion. I would call Platinum Concierge and ask for their assistance.

By the way, it would not be the Platinum member that would have his room rate changed. But, your friends may not like what happens to their room rate if this isn't resolved beforehand. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
