Starwood Preferred Guest - 2 Starwood Gold sponsored memberships available--earn 5000 bonus SPG points

I hope this won't be considered an inappropriate cross post but I noticed others were posting here regarding the sponsored memberships. I gave three to friends and associates and have two remaining:

I have two of the Starwood Gold membership cards to give. If you stay five times by the end of October, we both earn 5000 SPG points (which is a free weekend at category 1) in addition to the points you earn for the stays. I would like the folks that request these to have a reasonable expectation that they will make the five stays so that we both earn the bonus and that you get Gold status through February 2004! That's 18 months of Gold status for 5 stays!

Don't waste your time with it. I tried it the first go around. Sent out all kinds of cards and got zip.

I would think the Starwood FlyerTalk board would be one of the worst places to find people who are not already SPG members.

Perhaps you should go to a local Starwood property and give them out to people checking in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.
