Starwood Preferred Guest - How to change CC on file ?

when i change CC on my profile I get a nasty USERNAME exists in system. Use a different username ERROR. System thinks I am a new user whereas I am only updating my credit card number.

I think you have to call us for changes to credit card information, but I will be glad to pass this one on to Interactive Marketing nonetheless.

I did call ur service rep and she changed it for me. she mentioned they dont allow CC changes thru internet. If so then why doesn't spg IT pros just disable the CC field ??

You can change your CC online.
Go to update your "Update your profile"
I did it two days ago - during an online reservation - and it worked fine.
