Starwood Preferred Guest - Phone number for automated account info?

Hi,

(Longtime lurker to several FT boards, first-time poster...)

With the starwood.com website bouncing up and down, is there an 800/888 number that we can call to check on our account balances? (Hopefully automated so I don't waste some agent's time...)

Background:
- My starwood account is only a week old, so the new-member packet hasn't yet arrived. I'm guessing I'll find a phone number there.
- I'm waiting for InsideFlyer miles to post...

Welcome!

The only way I know of to check balances other than the web site is to call your customer service number and ask the agent.

No automated line like Hilton.

I should add that in 'bouncing up and down' the site never seems to quite get to the 'let-me-sign-in-with-my-password' level. But, one of the various error messages did give me a phone number to call. I'll wait a few more days and then give that a try (I'm not in a huge rush right now...).
