Starwood Preferred Guest - What does Travelocity membership mean for SPG level?

Tried a search and didn't come up with anything... when one joins Travelocity's little club for $29 it says you get some non-specific level of Starwood status, speaking of upgrades and late check outs. Does anyone have any info on what this really means or practical experience as to whether it means doodly squat.

Preferred Plus - the same level as those who carry the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express at the basic member level, unless of course they earn a higher status.
