I make an average of $150 worth international calls each month. I just came to know from ATT that no starpoints is awarded for a hell lot of calls !!
I dont even remember seeing this condition w.r.t internatinoal calls anywhere....did u?

I regret to inform you that international calls are not eligible for
Starwood points. You do not earn Points for dollars spent on taxes,
surcharges, the Universal Connectivity Charge, the Carrier Line charge,
and equipment and installation charges. In addition, you do not earn
points on AT&T Calling Card calls that are not billed to the domestic
home telephone account, including, but not limited to, prepaid calling
card calls, AT&T Universal Card calling card calls and direct-billed
AT&T Calling Card calls.

BE VERY CAREFULE WITH ATT for international calls. You are not getting 100% landline international calls. I am not sure if they fully disclose it(i have seen mention in press releases I think), but for some of their international calls they route it though an internet phone carrier such as Net2Phone. Net2phone(which At&T was part owner) in particular charges their customers very low rates, some as low as pennies a minute because the quality is much less than reg phone call and you get disconnected freq. AT&T charges you the same rate, you get lower quality and they pockets the cost savings over offering you land line phone calls.
