I was thinking about bidding on a Starwood property through this website, which would then be pre-paid.
Question is: would I still get starwood points/stays for this and would I get platinum benefits?
has anyone used this link that may know an answer?
thanks!

As a rule of thumb, if your stay is pre-paid (with the exception of those booked through Starwood directly), you are not eligible for points on the room charge.

Good question, if you purchase via Luxury Link would you still get PLAT benefits (upgrade) at check-in?
Has anyone else got an upgrade on third party pre-paid reservations?

You get elite beenfits on any stay, paid or unpaid, no matter who you paid, or the rate you paid.
Yes, I hvae gotten elite benefits on priceline stays.

I booked a fantastic package through this cool website for the St. Regis Beijing and was told I could receive points for amenities but 0 for stay and no stay credit...It was already a fantastic suite so I did not(believe it or not or I was too out of ot from the flight) to request an upgrade...
Again, fantastic hotel , great service...

Had never heard of this site, but just placed a bid on a place (non-Starwood) that I've wanted to go for a while. I doubt I'll get it at a price I am willing to pay, but if I do.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I purchased a package from Luxurylink.com (love this site) for the Intercontinental San Juan and I got Priority Club AA miles for the stay. Thought you'd like to know. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
