Ok, since I live two hours away from that city, I will make a brief review.

Staff are friendly, check-in is quick. They are mostly francophone but speak fluent English. The upgraded rooms for SPG members are on 8th floor. You need to swipe room key to get to that floor but it is the same public elevator. Indoor parking on a per day charge, access via same hotel elevator.

Reasonble distance to Hull Casino. It is located across the street to Canadian Museum of Civilization. You need to drive across a bridge to Ottawa, not far from Parliment.

The rooms are clean but on the small side. There was no minibar in my room.

Overall, it's a solid 2 1/2 to 3 star hotel. But if you are spending over Cad$120 per night, then you might as well pay a little more and go for Shearton.

Spend 2 nights there last week. Also have the same comment to make. Very good staff by the way. The hotel is a former Ramada and has been re-branded 4 Points about 1.5 year ago following a major renovation.

It is quite convenient when travelling in Ottawa. It is close to the downtown area (5min by car). It does not replace the great views and luxury of the Westin or the more upscale atmosphere of the Sheraton but what you get for the price you pay is excellent.

I see that you are Platinum, You could expect a suite upgrade but they have a limited number of those. They are in fact a regular room with a communicating room set up with table, chairs, a sofa etc... It is what I got last week.

Similar experience to those posted here last summer, also during Canada Day celebrations. [Hope your fireworks aren't cancelled as they were last year. Even booked a Parliament Hill view rooms at the Westin for that one night, sigh. Moved to Four Points Hull for the balance of the week with my film crew: 4 rooms @ $100/night saved a lot over $190/night at the Westin or Sheraton.] Good value for the money, considering Ottawa hotels like the Westin and Sheraton will be charging in the $200 range at this high season. Don't expect the same quality finish as either of the Westin or Sheraton, but friendly staff helps overcome spartan nature of the hotel itself.

Enjoy our national capital.

To finally respond with my experience http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif. Nice Hotel, centrally located. Great during Canada as everything was within reasonable walking distance. Museum of Civilization is right across the street. Otherwise driving or OCTranspo would work just as well.
As this was personal travel, the price was right($115.00) For that price, got two adjoining rooms, no real view but not much time was spent in the room. We had a lot to see. Shareholder is right the staff is/was very friendly and accomodating. The only disappointment was the lack of fireworks on Canada Day due to the weather.
