Starwood Preferred Guest - Club Levels at Starwood Hotels?

Does anyone know where they list if a property features a "club" level? The special access floor that serves breakfast and afternoon snacks.
Or is this something you have to call in to find out?
Secondly,
Through my travels I find that a club level is actually VERY rare in the Starwood system at least in N.A. I don't think ANY Westin or W has anything like that. I've only seen them in a select number of Sheratons for that matter. I'm wondering why is that? I know that most Marriotts have such a thing it's one of those nice perks that elite Marriott Reward Members love.

Your observation is accurate.
I don't think any W or Westin has one, and among the 15 or so of those I've been to, none do.
Many Sheratons do have a club level. The nicest two I've been to are at the Sheraton Boston and Sheraton Chicago.
Some St. Regis hotels do, but these are called Astor or Butler floors. Sadly, we don't get upgraded there, nor have access thereto, although some people have been more lucky than others.

I have been to a few Westins that do - I seem to recall the ATL Airport did. The SFO Airport had a furnished room with nothing going on in there and no amenities. More and more I have been to properties (mostly Sheraton) that have reduced hours for the lounges, ie, no weekends anymore, or no more evening anything.

Westin Dallas Galleria has one... Houston St. Regis appears to have closed the club that used to be in operation when the property was managed by Ritz Carlton.
I stayed on the Astor floor, but couldn't figure out what kinds of special things were supposed to happen there (although I did get a fruit plate that was replenished daily and free pressing of two items).

The Westin Grand Bohemian in Orlando also has a concierge (club) level on its top floor. It features the Concierge Lounge which is open nightly with hors d'oeuvres, as well as continental breakfast each morning. The best view of the city can also be found from the lounge.

Westin LAX has a club floor on 12 (the top floor). Was just upgraded to an incredible "Chairman's Suite" there last week.
The Westin Rio Mar in Puerto Rico has a terrific Club Lounge....
I believe that Starwood should note in their publications, and on their Web site, which hotels have Club Lounges.
Starwood Lurker, could you bring this to the attention of the decision makers?
Just a note on the Chicago Sheraton & Towers, their lounge will be closed till the end of Feb. Something that is Not mentioned to you when you book & pay a higher rate for the club floor there http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I agree. My stay there was great! It is called the COncirgere Floor, although form what I could tlel there is not concirger ein the lounge at all. Although the breakfast is not at all extravagant, it is truly just continental. However, all drinks except for sodas must be purchased. So juice, alcohol etc... are charged to your room. They do leave out the mini-glass soda bottles in an ice bowl with glasses and fruit durin gth day when ther eis no attendant there. The evening hors d'oeuvres are quite good.
In the end, in general more Sheratons than Westins have Club Floors.

I can make the suggestion, but whether or not it will be done, I can't say.
