Starwood Lurker - where are you when we need you? I have a post (last dated Jan 27th, unless updated by new visitor after this post) - where I asked about gift stays for my parents and secretary. Can you help, please?

married, I would like to offer you a suggestion to your excellent question...
Rather than creating another new topic, simply reply to your original Jan. 27 one and simply bring it to the top with a gentle reminder....

Thanks Chix. I was going to do that - but if Starwood Lurker didn't read the post the first time, I was concerned that he might not read it the 2nd time, and e-mail hasn't worked either. I figured William couldn't miss a post with his UserName in it.

Gift stays are no problem. I've done it several times. See my recent post -

When you book the reservation, just have the agent put your guest's name, as well as yours, on the reservation.
By the way, if you called Starwood reservations, I believe they would have told you the same thing.

Thanks for your patience, married 2 miles, but I thought since two other posters on the other thread (and one on this one) had already confirmed that the guest did not have to be a Starwood Preferred Guest in order to use a Preferred (free) Night Award that you ordered for them, that this question was answered sufficiently. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
I apologize for being so tardy with confirmation of this and your email of last Wednesday, but sometimes these things get put on the back-burner until more severe issues are addressed. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
