My step-son and daughter-in-law just went through a medical crisis with their 8-month old son at Stanford Hospital. They needed a hotel room in Palo Alto, and fortunately I had quite a few Starwood points in my account.
First, we needed to make a last minute booking using my points. The agent quickly secured the room and made sure that they could check in, even though I was not present. We then had to extend the stay twice, and each time the agent was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Since I dealt with a different agent each time and received the same high quality service, I can only conclude this was not simply the act of an unusual agent but the general philosophy of Starwood and its employees.
Thanks for helping us out through this difficult time.
