Well, after my beloved Nebraska Huskers squeaked into the Rose Bowl, I started making definite plans to attend with my husband and parents. The Pasadena Sheraton is sold out, so after reading the posts here on various LA properties I settled on the Westin Bonaventure for $160 a night (Century City Westin sold out also). It is only 9 miles from the stadium, and seems to be a decent choice, but am I overlooking any better options? I love the St. Regis but don't feel like paying those rates for four nights. Thanks.

If I recall correctly, the Westin Century City has in the past been one of the "official" Rose Bowl hotels. In the past, the hotel has been the hotel of the visiting team (Big Ten). If by chance the hotel is the official hotel for Nebraska (call the hotel and inquire), I would consider the St. Regis Century City because you will be closer to all the pre-game action. They usually have a HUGE pep rally accross the street.

Enjoy the game.

The Four Seasons in Pasadena is one of the main hotels. That's where folks who have the VIP package stay. Let me know if you are interested in a VIP package ($$$$). I'm not selling them, but I can hook people up who want it.

There is a Four Points hotel at Monrovia/Arcadia. It is not far from the Rose Parade route, which is a big plus if you want to watch your beloved Nebraska band marching with rose floats.
The hotel is a former Wyndam Garden hotel. It's not as luxuary as Westin Bonaventure, but better than most Four Points and some Sheraton I have stayed.

The Rose Parade remains on Jan 1, while the game is now on Jan 3....

So he may not be in town for both.

There is no Four Seasons Pasadena. You may be thinking of the Ritz Carlton Huntington, in San Marino, close to Pasadena.

What about the Sheraton Studio City (Universal Studios)? 10-15 minutes to parade and bowl.

Sorry, it must be the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. The brochure I got just said Four Seasons and I assumed it was in Pasadena.

The Sheraton Studio City is in Orlando, FL not North Hollywood, CA.

I am sorry, it is called the Sheraton Universal Hotel, on 333 Universal Terrace Parkway, Universal City, CA 91608 tel 818 980-1212.

Still very close to Pasadena (10-15 minutes) and close to Studio City, CA (but you wont need that I guess).
