Starwood Preferred Guest - ?? for starwood lurker

thank you for all your input in these forums. question: i am a gold member thru my stays at westin/sheratons and I have heard of a promotion that came out targeting gold members on upgrades for this last quarter. I have not received any such offer and would really appreaciate getting it. I am thinking on traveling for a vacation in december and this offer would really come in handy for me. Please when you make an offer to gold members than let us all take advantage of it not just a targeted few. Can you help me sign up for this promotion?

vacationtraveler, we could discuss the possibility of your receiving an exception to participate in this promotion, but I need you to send me your Starwood Preferred Guest account number in an e-mail to the address below.

I would not expect to receive every promotional offer that is ever conceived of by the marketing gurus for Gold members. This just does not seem to be the way these offers have been made, historically speaking.
