Starwood Preferred Guest - Westin Club Floors and Lounges
Since I really very much like, and thus covet these, I'm wondering if it is perhaps just me or are there actually very few Club Floors and Lounges at Westin properties?
Any favorites by chance?
Thanks http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The freebie breakfast they used to give to Gold covered any lack of club rooms. I'm having a tough time remembering a Westin Club Room.

I've found more Club rooms at Sheratons. The Westin Copley Place in Boston has one... free drinks even.

And that is where I'll be staying Saturday night. Guess I missed it on the last stay.
Sorry to mention it QuietLion & Hedoman, but while the Westin Copley Place does have a nice (abit) small Club Lounge, drinks are not complementary. Next to the alcholic beverages was a basket with slips to fill out for the 'honor bar'. The food was good and the view of the river fantastic.

Oops! They were complimentary for me. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

doc is correct - it is a disgrace to the company, however, there are very few Club Lounes at westin Hotels.

Hey Quietlion...you haven't happened to stay at the Univeral Hilton recently have you? I noticed on my recent stay that they now have a bartender who mixes your drinks and fills out the "honor" chit for you. So much for "honor". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Just remembered another Westin Club, at the Atlanta Airport Westin there is a Club floor with a small yet decent lounge. They have the usual cold buffet and one or two hot dishes. I think there is an 'honor' bar, but the night I was there I didn't see any 'beverages' set out, so I think you have to order them from the hosts.

Honestly, I'm usually pretty perceptive and I didn't see any signs of ways to pay. In fact a concierge came and brought me some sweet vermouth and still didn't say anything about paying.

Yes, I was at the ATL airport Westin last night, and arrived just after all the goodies were gone. The attendant (was very nice) and told me in detail about all the snacks I had just missed. 7pm seemed rather early for everything to be "picked up". The continental breakfast was marginal, but there was fresh hot coffee a 30 second walk from my room, so it was worthwhile!

A very good friend of mine and a very FF was had very complimentary things to say about the club lounge at the Westin Maui in Kaanapali...I never even liked that hotel much but she travels extensively and has very high standards so I trust her judgement.
Seems that there is one at the Stamford Westin! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The Westin Copley Place closed their Executive Lounge last September. I believe that more of the few remaining Westins that still offer one will probably follow suit.

doc, just as an FYI, the Westin in Stamford used to be the Sheraton. That may explain why you found a club lounge there.

I've stayed at the Westin Copley place numerous times in the past month and have never known about a club lounge, let alone a club floor. Must have closed in September in conjunction with the $30 million rennovations. They always give me a nice junior suite, though.
Bar 10 is where all the action's at in this place, anyway.

I completely forgot about the Westin GPO in Sydney, Australia. They do have a wonderful Executive Lounge.

The SFO Westin used to have a Club/Executive Floor Lounge. Haven't stayed there in years now, so not sure if it still is around.

Yes, I agree. It's a shame that there aren't more Westins with club lounges. I routinely stay at the Westin Long Beach and wish they had a lounge there. Maybe Starwood will look at upgrading some of their Westins to match those of the Sheraton lounges.

The Westin Sydney in Australia is my favourite hotel. Always got an upgrade to the executive floor (and a suite) and the club room is one of the best.
