I have tried to join Starwood on numerous occasions in the past few days but consistently receive error messages when the process is almost finished. This has happened on two different computers!
They sure don't make it easy...

I am sorry that you are having trouble signing up into Starwood Preferred Guest online, but without being on your side of the computer terminal, it is hard for me to diagnose the problem. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
I suggest calling us toll-free to enroll at 1-888-625-4988 or send me the following information in an e-mail and I will enroll you myself:
1. Name
2. Address
3. Home and business phone numbers
4. Date of birth
5. Mother's maiden name (to be used as password)
Be sure to put the words 'Guest Forum' somewhere in the subject line.

There has been some "odd" behavior over the past ~week re: the web site...a few times, I was unable to login to access my account (it wouldn't complete, or would "complete", but w/ one of two different error messages)...a few other times, when I was able to login to the account, when I clicked on the relevant section to display account detail, the bottom half of the page was the ~top part of one of the error messages I had received when the login had failed.
?
Login & account detail options functioned fine today, though.

Same thing here.. I guess Starwood needs to follow the trend. Websites development and enhancments should be an on-going process. I hope to see more efforts put into thier website...
