I just spent a long weekend at the Westin Philippine Plaza in Manila. I had an Executive Floor room. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately though the rooms are a bit on the old side, the aircon was noisy and the bath was badly discoloured and chipped. The taps/shower were not really that effective.
The positive side in that hotel are the staff. They are absolutely great: friendly and helpful without exception.
I particularly love the seaside driving range they have there. I had my clubs with me and extended a day of my business trip to hit some balls. The resident pro came over to give me some (useful)tips and strongly resisted payment of any kind.
It's just a pity the hotel is not that central: but I guess central and seaside together don't compute. I'll just take things the way they are.
