Starwood Preferred Guest - 4 Points LAX - double Starpoints 6/1-11/15

I saw this on the Starwood site (under "North America Offers")...didn't know if folks here had seen it (a search of this forum for LAX didn't result in a post whose subject line was an obvious reference to this promo, so...).

It states re: Four Points LAX, "Double Starpoints on all rates from June 1 to November 15, 2001".

Just thought I'd mention it...

So how does this work as a Gold. If my stay yields 200 points, I get a 50% bonus, which totals 300 points. Do I then get double 200 or double 300?

As far as I know, all starwod double and triple bounce points promotions are based on the 2 points/$ spent.

I would agree w/ this as well. I would think that the double points are a function of the base points only (i.e. base=2pts/$), & that the elite bonus would still be re: the base points (i.e. would not include any bonuses that were also calculated as a function of base points).

Yep, that's exactly the way it works. I just had a stay, and I was awarded 1pt/$ x 5 (1pt/$ x3 for Gold membership, + 2pts/$ for the promo).
