Starwood Preferred Guest - Another kudo to the Platinum Concierge

I had received an email about some special corporate weekend discounts(since my company has a corporate plan w/Starwood). The rates are really good - $139 at NYC hotels, $99 in LA, $99 in Boston, etc.

So, I reserved the Sheraton Boston for an upcoming weekend at $99/nite. Then, I learned that I have to be there for work on the Wed-Thur nights prior to my initial reservation(Fri-Sat), so I called the Plat. concierge and asked to have my reservation extended backwards, and also told her I'm willing to pay the higher, 'regular' corporate rate for those 2 weekday nights. She put me on hold for a few minutes while she called the hotel to arrange the change. When she came back to me, she informed me that the hotel extended the $99/nite rate for my entire stay! Won't my client be happy, and dumbfounded at how I got such a good rate at the Boston Sheraton!

Thanks Starwood!

Is this in reference to the GPL rate that Doc posted a while ago?

I'm staying tomorrow at the Westin Waltham on that rate and the Sheraton Boston the next Friday on the same rate? I saw NOTHING about the stay requirement. I hope this isn't an issue.....

BoSoxFan - I'll be there(at the Sheraton Boston) next Friday, too!

The rate is for weekend days(Fri-Sun) at $99. If you try to book a weekday at that plan, you'll get a closer to normal corporate rate (e.g. $219 for the Sheraton).
