Starwood Preferred Guest - one starwood gold membership to give

Hello, I am a starwood platinum preferred guest and was given some gold cards to give to associates. Basically, you get gold membership until march 2000. If you stay five times before the end of the year we both get 5000 bonus points and with the free fridays promotion you would also get 2 free fridays. So, for five stays you get 2 nights and 5000 points! If anyone thinks they can do this please let me know. This is for new members only as far as I know
