Starwood Preferred Guest - Zurich or Frankfurt Starwoods????

I'm taking a quick weekend trip in mid March, and CO shows plentiful availability for upgrading on flights to FRA & ZRH. I also was looking use one of my Free Friday's.
Now the problem is that after checking the threads on Starwood properties in these two cities---I'm not being overwhelmed with excitement http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif. I wasn't planning on renting a car, so I wanted to be in the center of town and figured I'd use public transportation to get around. Any thoughts or comments on the 3 available choices?? Or should I just pick a different city entirely???

Recently stayed in Zurich at Arabella Sheraton Neues Schloss. OK, not great.

I also have stayed at the Arabella Sheraton Neues Schloss. I agree it is OK, nothing great (not bad either).

The Sheraton Arabella Atlantis in Zurich was pretty nice. The only downside was that the hotel does not have air conditioning ... but that shouldn't be a factor in March.

The Sheraton Arabella Atlantis in Zurich is not in a very convienient location, in my opinion.

I was at the Arrabella Sheraton Atlantis three weeks ago (150us/night). I got upgraded to "the 5th" which is there suite floor, and received a nice fruit platter and daily 1.5l of water bottles. The hotel is older, but reasonable for Europe. I found their free shuttle service to the train station (town centre) efficent. You are by now means in town at the Hotel, but only a 5 minute drive. I went to Lucern for the day and MT.Pilatus had a great time. Enjoy.
I would say that of all the Starwood hotels I have stayed in, the two in Zurich are the most dissapointing, my experience of their respect for loyalty is not good.

An alternative for FRA is to stay at the Airport Sheraton. It is an excellent hotel with full facilities, good restaurants and they treat Starwood elites very well. You should easily get an upgrade to a club or smart room.
When you want to go to the city you can take the train or the Lufthansa City bus. And when it's time to go home, you only have to trot your bags across the overpass to the airport.
Of the ones mentioned, the Grand in FRA is probably the best, IMHO.
I've yet to get my difficulties at the Arabella Sheraton FRA strightened out! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
I agree with stimpy about the Sheraton FRA and the train into town is only one or two stops more and thus a few minutes further out than from the Arabella Sheraton! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
I've stayed at the Arabella Grand in FRA several times when it was not yet Starwood/Sheraton. I really was impressed. Also great location!
